It's been a highly eventful week for me. I was in town on Thu, Fri and Today. So guess what, i watched 2 movies, ate like 1 lunch and 2 dinners in town over the spread of these 3 days. So can i declare i'm broke? Hmm... not just yet.
I had a pathetic meal of fried oyster at the Kopitiam opposite Cine on Thurs. It's so not worth it but yar, what's paid is paid, so i gobbled down that little amount in a matter of minutes. Friday's dinner was Dinner with Bombfied at Marina Square's Pizza Hut. Freaking filling and tasty! Today's lunch was at Manhattan Fish Market at PS with Kelvin and Derrick. It's really nicer than a similar restaurant and the service is really quite good. So hmm... are you hungry?
Two movies which i watched included The Fountain and Dreamgirls. The Fountain is really profound beyond my understanding, it requires alot of thinking and would eventually lead to many different opinions of the plot. However, the filming is really quite impressive. Other than that, as TODAY said "Genius in small doses is manageable. Anything more, it becomes The Fountain".
Dreamgirls was (simply put) GOOD! Beyonce and Hudson were super good in their vocals! Despite a rather cliche storyline, both of the females impressed me with their vocals. The most memorable scene would be Beyonce singing 'LISTEN' in the studio, the close-up shot, the emotions almost made me wanna cry. 3 cheers for this film i rate 4/5. (=
