The Golden Path

I've long heard from others that The Golden Path, better known as 黄金路 is one of the better dramas Mediacorp has put out in a while. It's just that i never had the time to catch it until today on Mobtv. Mobtv is really useful for people like me who have a trashy schedules. I can never follow a drama serial because i'm never home early or free enough to catch it.

Still, the strong cast definitely attracts both the young and the old. Chen Liping's superb acting impressed me from the start.

Felicia's image really produced the 'wow' effect on first appearance and gets increasing likeable as the story progresses. Her tremendous improvement in her acting skills could also be seen in this drama, where she managed to lead her character and not be led by her character. There is this unique aura around the role she's playing which is mysterious yet likeable. I couldn't help but SMS her after watching the first few episodes to congratulate her on her improvement. She's happy that she has already gotten so many compliments on her acting in this show.

There are others, like the girl playing Jin Feng (Joey Feng) and the Ba Kut Teh girl who ditched the amateurish rigid acting style despite it being their first production. Do catch it before it's over! But then again, Mobtv could be your best friend to the episodes/dramas you missed! =)
