Taipei - Tamshui / Jioufen

Updates: I went for medical at NTU on Mon, it was awkward - spotted many familiar beings whose faces i could not tag a name to. Imagine that... So i should make the effort to know my fellow 'Business' people before school starts right?
On another note, Advanced Vocals proved to be much more challenging than i expected. Loads of homework given, loads of practise required. Oh oh there are many parties coming up. ;)

*This is the final Taiwan-Taipei entry which i took too long to complete.*

Tamshui is a sea-side town in Taipei County, Taiwan. It is named after a river whose name means "Freshwater". This is one of my favourite spots in Taipei. The serenity really made me feel at peace with myself. Did i mention the cool breeze at Tamshui Old Streets and the strong winds at Fisherman's Wharf? Great stuff.

At Tamshui Old Street, i had this weird feeling, like i've just entered the past, possibly the 60's and that some shop must just explode and gunshots sounds would fill the skies in seconds. Alright, digressed. We went to the Old Streets in the morning, some of the shops were still not open but i love the whole tranquility of the place. I felt so at peace at that moment.

We proceeded on to the Fisherman's Wharf at near midday which was like so damn windy i'm glad i didn't style my hair that day. =P

Fisherman's Wharf could be said as one of my favourite places in Taipei. I have no idea why but it just strikes a chord with me the moment i saw it. Anyway, the skies were overcast and the winds were unforgivably strong.

After driving upslope for nearly half hour, i managed to catch the view from Jioufen. It was gorgeous. Actually there's a history for this little town in Taipei and you can go wiki it if you are interested. Anyway, the wind was strong and the view was gorgeous.

Xy told me that the Lay's in Taiwan is much better than Singapore's. She was correct! =) Somehow, the taste of the Lay's in Taiwan appealed to me more, which means i would eat Lay's for all my meals when i stay in Taiwan next time.

This is how narrow the streets are and CARS and motorcycles still drive through these streets, with people walking and stuff. It was really quite scary when a car drove past me, i was afraid my feet would get crushed.

Alright, i'm done. finally.
